part 3 in the bowie beer series is the little china girl!! bowie made two music videos in australia (for two of his songs) and accordingly, i had to make an australian beer to celebrate the fact...even though it all happened in 1983. meh.
for this sexy beer, i've decided to mix some simple aussie ingredients with some tried and true english ingredients to aim for a beer that mirrors bowie's time in australia making music videos. either that, or it's just an extremely loose and lame random 'connection' that tries to relate a bowie song to my beer making. whatever works!
i'll be using some signature aussie hops - pride of ringwood - to try and give it the well-known aussie lager / pale ale taste. kind of aiming to make my own version of a carlton draft or coopers pale ale. something like that anyway. looking forward to the challenge of trying to replicate a beer!
in other news, i took the angry princess blonde to a mate's birthday to share, and it is now officially known as "AP". it basically took credit for a LOT of nasty hangovers as it went down so easily. everyone who tried it, even non-beer drinkers, said they liked it! very happy!!! thanks to everyone for being my test subjects. glad you liked it and here's to many more.
