this weekend, the princess blonde recipe is gonna get taken for a spin. yes, this beer is dedicated to my lovely wife jenna. she won't touch it because she hates beer but she's blonde, and it's a blonde beer so, yay!? coincidence? i think not.
she'll be a lot lighter in flavour density than the fletcher pale ale, and lower IBUs to match the style. it'll also be the first time i use a proper pilsner malt which for some reason i'm very excited about. using the danstar nottingham yeast too which is supposed to be really fast.
i'm getting the grain finally from the bulk purchase made a few months back and a few other nice goodies also. recently got a clip thermometer that will help me will finding the perfect pitching temp (~20C) so i can get onto that asap rather than waiting until i 'think' it's 20C.
i'll try and get a lot more pics of the brew day and post them to try and beef up the blog a little more. thanks to new followers and lookers-on of this site; i'm excited to be making beer and giving it to my friends to enjoy. gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling.
sexyfuntime,
fletcher
