wow wow wow! i cannot believe it, but my australian/english hybrid bitter was a crowd and judge favourite! absolutely incredible. i was told by the judges that it missed being in the final 5 beers by less than a point. i'm just blown away and proud that my beers were very well received by the crowd (both my kegs were blown before the end of the day) and the judges.
the home brew masters festival was an amazing day and experience. there were 65 beers that entered and there were so many styles. the judged winner was a scottish heavy, and the crowd's favourite was a grapefruit ipa.
i'm looking forward to getting my beers in next year and seeing if i can improve on the 6th place, but for my first ever competition i'm stoked!
thank you so much also to my friends and family for coming down to support me. it really meant a lot.
cheers and beers and sexyfuntimes,
fletcher.
